Booking FAQ

What do you charge for travel?

Within the wider Auckland area (including Matakana) – Inclusive
Waiheke Island – $400
Within 2.5 hrs driving – $500
New Zealand wide – $1000
International - please enquire for a quote

How do I book with you?

To book in a family session payment must be made upfront. We will work together to find a suitable date, time and location for your portraits. I can help assist you with what to wear and different things to bring to help your children enjoy the experience!

When will we get our photos?

Completion of all images can take up to 4 weeks during peak wedding season. However I do pride myself in completing images as soon as I can and clients usually receive them within a few weeks.

What should we wear?

Picking aesthetically pleasing outfits that work well together for the whole family is no easy task!
I recommend starting out with one favourite outfit with a colourful print, and then matching everyone else to that colour palette. The key here is to think about the palette and tones rather than thinking of making everyone look matchy matchy, if that makes sense.
If you're having trouble, a really good tip is to lay all the outfits on a bed and see how they all look together. Hopefully an outfit that doesn't look right will stand out to you.
I also recommend choosing an outfit that do not have large and distracting logos or brands on the front too.

What if the weather is bad?

If you have an outdoor shoot planned with me and the weather is awful then of course we can postpone to later date. It's really important to me that you get beautiful portraits in the ideal weather conditions, so I am flexible to change shoot dates. However it should be noted that the summer months can be very busy for me with wedding bookings on Fridays and Saturdays.

Any tips for great photos?

Basically, just relax and go with it! Do not worry about your kids looking at the camera and smiling! I have my little tricks and ways to bulid trust with children, to get the best out of them during a photo shoot! Often kids will do very different things for people they have just met! Just love on your children and have fun with them! I'd love to capture that!

It can also be helpful to bring a favourite toy or even a few jellybeans (just in case!)
